With Noam "Boss Tweed" Bramson going down soon, I imagine that the City Council members have thoughts of mayoral succession on their minds. The City Charter gives the Council powers to temporarily fill the vacancy. Most likely a member of Council would get selected to become mayor (Ivar Hyden or Al Tarantino perhaps?), then the vacant Council seat needs to get filled (I can only imaging the political jockeying that comes into play when an opening of that type occurs).
I also want to mention that Noam Bramson is about to become a member of Talk of the Sound Hall of Shame, and certainly its most prominent member. The membership has grown over the years and includes the likes of John Gallagher, Richard Fevang, Jose Martinez, Mauro Zonzini, David Lacher, and a host of others.
