I’ve been a New Rochelle resident for 20 years, and have two children in the NR Schools. Robert Cox is someone I entrust to stabilize and cultivate the best interests of New Rochelle Schools. I know him personally and commend his character and core beliefs. I value how driven and intent he is to see our schools thrive, our students prosper and see our District operate seamlessly. He has my vote based on his involvement in the broader school community, his leadership skills, education, business background and exceptional devotion to the district and its development. Success of the district would be a direct result of Electing Robert Cox

There are few if any BOE candidates or current BOE members that have Robert Cox’s experience and understanding of what is going on in our school district. You may not like the way he comes across sometimes, but for anyone or any group to make the best decisions, you need to have the best information, and because of this - Robert Cox would only strengthen the current BOE.

I have been a teacher at the Campus School for 30 years. Robert Cox was the first person to stand up for our students when it was announced our school would be moving. He spoke at board meetings and wrote articles exposing the truth behind the move. Not only was he first to stand with us but he continued to fight and still supports us today. He will fight for our most vulnerable students.

We need a school board whose members serve without fealty to any agenda other than to the actual responsibilities of the Board. The function of the School District is to properly educate our children, ensuring their future as well as the future of this City. Cox understands the role of the School Board and is experienced in fostering resolutions towards achievement and improvement. I support Cox and urge the voters to do so as well.

My family moved here when I retired from the Navy in large part because of the reputation of the school system, in the past decade it appears that reputation has been chipped away at. This is why I’m voting Cox. This isn’t a beauty contest; we need people advocating for our children and better outcomes for New Rochelle. So, if you are looking for a candidate who will intellectually challenge the leadership in the schools, understands how to ask the hard questions, is committed to transparency and above all integrity, then Robert Cox should be your choice. - Brett Morash Ph.D.
