When an elected official, such as Noam Bramson, leaves office and makes a transition into a non-governmental sector, the anti-corrupiton and bribery rules of the governing entity should ban the official from accepting any type of employment with a non-governmental entity that did business or had contracts with that governmental entity. The governing rules of the City of New Rochelle should have banned Noam Bramson from accepting employment with Sustainable Westchester after he left office because Noam actively promoted and voted to approve lucrative contracts between the city and Sustainable Westchester. Unfortunately, the City of New Rochelle does not seem to have such rules nor do I think the corrupt and useless ethics committee would enforce the rules if they did exist. Noam Bramson serves as a textbook example of an elected who casts ethics to side for his personal benefit. Noam gave Sustainable Westchester every reason in the world to make him Executive Director and he has given constituents every reason to mistrust city government.

Kudos to Bob Cox for the outstanding coverage of the ongoing corruption in New Rochelle.
